Lucy Catt is a Zoo Keeper at Adelaide Zoo working predominantly with bears and primates. Lucy has been working in the zoo industry for the past 8 years and has a background in ecology and evolutionary biology. She has a passion for travel and adventure, and a love of Asian culture, food, and wildlife.
In 2012, Lucy began volunteering with Earth 4 Orangutans. She also volunteers with The Orangutan Project where her passion for orangutan conservation is exhibitied. From 2010 to 2014, Lucy was the Species Co-ordinator for ghost bats for the Zoological Association of Australasia. She also spent two years studying the effects of rainfall on the reproduction of southern hairy-nosed wombats.
It is through her travels in South East Asia that Lucy has seen the desperate need to raise awareness of various conservation issues, as well as the vital importance of working with local people in order to achieve these conservation goals.
